At the same time one of the major tasks today is to provide comprehensive utilization of methane, which will be produced from coal seams in the Kuzbass. This is the gasification of industrial consumers and the population of the Kemerovo region, the supply of gas in the Integrated Gas Supply System of Russia, the objects of heat and power generation, as well as the use of methane as a fuel. In addition, commercial production of coal bed methane will not only improve the environmental situation in the Kuzbass, but, more importantly, improve safety at coal mines “, - stressed Alexander Ananenkov.
In turn, Aman Tuleyev highlighted the company”s performance for the extraction of coal bed methane for the Kemerovo region. He stressed that the administration area supports and will continue to Gazprom support under this project.
