Any crisis measures the government is doomed to fail, because the society prevails total distrust in public institutions, has been unable to perform its functions effectively, - said the director of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Valeriy Geets in the round table held on 28 April the Ministry of Economy Ukraine, together with UNDP.

In his view, the total distrust of the society to the actions of the authorities leads to a lack of effective interaction between state and non-state sector of the economy.

“recently in France were conducted curious study, 133 of which were subject to state, with the exception of the” big twenty “, - informed the scientist. - The results showed that only 20 countries have been able over the past 50 years to reduce its backlog of G-20 . The rest of 113 - have not been able to move anywhere. Moreover, 43 countries, ie almost half, have only a formal state symbols, once totally dependent on transcontinental and regional corporate clan.

Geets believes that Ukraine is among the 113 retarded and appeared before more than obvious threat to get to 43 the number of quasi states precisely because of mistrust of public institutions.

It

deficit of public trust, according to the scientist, not least partially withdrawn from the shadow traffic (at least 40% of GDP or 400 billion UAH.) and of cash savings (from 30 to 60 billion U.S. dollars) huge amounts of additional domestic resources, which are now needed so the economy as a whole.

therefore a key challenge, according to Valery Geetsa is the solution to the problem of quality performance of the state of its key functions and restore the confidence of the society.
