Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities and the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine in early October to present at the joint board of the project the state target program of modernization of communal heat power, said the head of MinZhKH Alex Kucherenko at a press conference in Kiev.
We have developed a draft national target program (modernization of communal heat power - ed).. It need to be discussed in the government. We will present it to the joint board, along with Yuri Vasilyevich (Chapter Mintopenergo Yuriy Prodan - ed.) through the week and a half — he said.
According Kucherenko, the program includes the development of the National Strategy for District Heating Ukraine, as well as regional programs, modernization of thermal power utilities, municipal infrastructure and schemes of heating settlements.
However, the information minister, currently has programs in MinZhKH modernization heating only Donetsk, Rivne and Kherson regions, and programs of the Odessa and Kharkiv regions sent for revision. In this regard, Kucherenko noted that the joint board will also consider other regions of inactivity in the development of regional programs for the modernization of Power Engineering.
Chapter MinZhKH also highlighted the program of the Donetsk Regional State Administration. According to him, the value provided it works is estimated at 720 million UAH, and the document implies a transfer of thermal power utilities in the region on various kinds of alternative fuels, while reducing gas consumption by 20-22% within three years.

As reported, the Ukrainian government in April approved the concept of the state target program of modernization of thermal power utilities. It was expected that by July this year, will be developed all the regional program of modernization of heat supply.
