office, labeling of food products and agricultural products containing more than 0.9% GMOs or produced from their use, must be manufacturers, suppliers (including importers) and the vendors who are introducing products in circulation.

As reported, issued on the website of the Verkhovna Rada Cabinet of Ministers № 468 dated May 13, requires the product label, if the GMO content in it, or raw materials for its more than 0.1%.
At the same time, according to the All-Ukrainian Environmental League, Cabinet has increased the level of GMO content in food products for mandatory labeling of 0.1% to 0.9% in accordance with the standards adopted in the European Union.
Accordingly, Gospotrebstandart plans this year to increase the number of subordinate laboratory to determine the presence of GMOs in food products from two to nine.
