The CEO of Alliance Holding, operator of a network of petrol stations Shell in the territory of Ukraine, William Kozik assesses the declining sales of refined products in the country because of the crisis more than 10%.
Overall, we estimate that the oil market in Ukraine has fallen more than 10%. This is especially true realization of diesel, as the company reduced its consumption of the transport sector and industry, - he said in an interview with the newspaper Delo, published on Wednesday.
V. Kozik also reaffirmed its earlier the company plans to increase the Shell gas station on the Ukrainian market from 6% to 15% by 2014 through the acquisition of both existing gas stations and building new stations.
According to him, in 2009 the company has already acquired six stations and plans to buy as many more refills. He noted that the company now builds on the five stations.
Prevalence of our stations - purchased. While we have built only one gas station. Now we arestarting to build five gas stations. I think the three of them we will end this year - CEO added.
He said that Shell plans to develop a network of filling stations in major cities of Ukraine.
We are interested in the biggest cities of Ukraine and the roads that connect them. That is, we are interested in Kiev, Odessa, Lvov, then Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk, - said V. Kozik.
Earlier, Shell in Ukraine announced plans of the company until 2014 to bring the number of filling stations in Ukraine under its brand name to 350 units. Today Shell in Ukraine operates 147 gas stations in 16 regions of Ukraine, Crimea and Kiev.
