Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchug NPZ, the Poltava region.) plans in October to import 240 thousand tons of Caspian oil, said a source in the industry. According to him, oil tankers will be delivered in three batches of 80 thousand tons in Odessa Sea Commercial Port. Time of arrival of the first installment - October 2-3, the second - 6-7 October, the third - in the middle of the month.
The interviewee also explained that the transportation of oil will be implemented by system Pridneprovsky oil pipelines.
The press service of Ukrtatnafta did not comment on the imports in October of such quantities of oil.
In turn, the management information and strategic communications JSC Ukrtransnafta Interfax-Ukraine have confirmed that in early October at the Odessa Sea Commercial Port arrived two tankers with a light oil of 80 tons each.
The company reported that first oil from the tanker has already shipped in the oil storage tanks, identified its quantitative and qualitative parameters, complete the procedure of customs clearance. In the coming days is expected to discharge the second tanker.
Also in October, will be the arrival of another (third - IF) for a tanker of 80 thousand tons of oil, confirmed in the company.
Management Information Ukrtransnafta also notes that oil will be supplied for the needs of the Kremenchug refinery, which appealed to the Ministry of Fuel and Power to help in resolving the issue of oil deliveries to the plant through long-term contracts for the transportation of oil from the Caspian region to the system oil pipelines Ukrtransnafta.

Ukrtransnafta also recalled that in October 2007, the company fails to Russia's Urals oil transportation in the Kremenchug oil refinery because of the refusal by Russia to supply raw materials for processing at this plant.
However the company pointed to the fact that the use of Pridneprovsky pipeline network exclusively in the traditional south, as suggested by the Odessa refinery is economically inefficient for Ukrtransnafta, since loading of the pipeline in this case does not exceed 15%.
The two-year blockade of the Kremenchug oil refinery on the part of Russia once again demonstrated the urgent need to diversify sources of oil supplies to Ukraine, which fully corresponds to the energy strategy of Ukraine, - are words of the head in a message board Ukrtransnafta Alexander Lazorko.
In such circumstances, the main task of Ukrtransnafta, as operator of the trunk pipeline system of the country, is to create conditions to maximize the supply of oil for domestic refining capacity, noted the company.
Previously deputy head of the board of the National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz Ukraine Valentine Franchuk said that Ukrtatnafta sent requests Ukrtransnafta on the transportation of light oil tanker from Odessa to the Kremenchug oil refinery in Pridneprovsky pipelines, and therefore, the latter suggested that NK LUKOIL to change the route of supply of oil to the Odessa-owned refineries.
