Monday, 14 September, most major stock markets in the European region completed the session in negative territory. Macroeconomic statistics worse than expected, as well as worries about overbought securities of many companies were not on hand to investors. Thus, industrial production in the euro area declined in July to 0,3% m /m against the expected incidence rate of 0,2%. Downward trend of markets was also due to the recommendations of analysts Nomura Holdings, which increase the action of European banks in the red zone.
Today representatives of the European Union declared that the economy of the region can begin to recover later this quarter. Thus, it is expected that the GDP of the euro area may grow in the third quarter on 0,2%, and then a further 0.1% in the fourth quarter. Such statements have provided some support for the regional indices.
As a result of trading a key index of the UK FTSE 100 rose 0.15%, French CAC 40 index decreased by 0,11%, while the German DAX closed in a minus on 0,07%. Regional index Dow Stoxx 600 has become easier to 0,36% and closed at the level of 240.87 points.
Shares second on the market capitalization of the bank Societe Generale of France retreated to 2.43%, the paper of the German Deutsche Bank thinner at 1.22%, but rates on the market capitalization of the largest French bank BNP Paribas fell by 1.1% after analysts Nomura Holdings lowered their recommendations on the securities.
Awkwardly formed session and commodity companies. Against the backdrop of fall in the value of copper, nickel and zinc at the auctions in London, mining stocks BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto Group fell 0,87% and 0,52% respectively.
The second-largest European car manufacturer Peugeot Citroen has lost 2,69% at the auction market capitalization on the background of downward analysts Credit Suisse Group ratings for its securities.
Quotes of Europe's leading telephone company Deutsche Telekom fell 1.05%. Today in the Sunday Telegraph it was reported that Deutsche Telekom intends to explore the possibility of absorption of the third-largest U.S. cellular operator Sprint Nextel.
German cement maker HeidelbergCement retreated to 3.61% on the background of statements about the planned sale of shares, which will attract additional funds for the repayment of existing debt.
Papers of the world's largest brick manufacturer Wienerberger closed in a minus on 2,9%, after he announced that he intends to sell shares worth 335.8 million euros ($ 488 million).
Another outsider trading has become a leading European producer of potash KS, whose shares have become easier to 0,74%. Citigroup analyst lowered the rating of securities KS with buy to hold.
